Within our nursery we have a large hall that we use for many reasons. The hall is mainly used for breakfast, snack and lunch times. The kitchen is situated within the hall area so the children are encouraged to collect their own food from the kitchen hatch to support independence. The children use the hall at different times of the day to ensure it does not become overcrowded.

The hall is also used for free play or adult let activities. It is very useful should the children want a change of scene from their normal classrooms. The hall is set up with the 7 areas of learning so learning and education is always implemented should the children use the hall. The hall also has a cosy book corner if the children would like to relax and have some quite time whilst in the hall.

In the past we have also used the hall for different occasions such as:

• Sports Day
• Parent-Child Breakfast
• Our annual Diversity Day
• Parties such as Eid Party etc
